Sport and Education have the power to connect people, from individuals to communities, create opportunities for young people, and build stronger communities.
A team of public figures and well-known football players will dedicate their presence to the “Peace and Resilience” (PR Program).
Conceptualized as an “after school program”, this creative activity will combine interactive sessions covering sports, leadership skills, bullying, online safety and social media to promote physical and mental well-being, personal growth, and a safe online environment through well skilled coaches and youth experts. These activities extended in 10 weekly sessions will be organized through 90-minutes training and theoretical sessions, by 4 coaches (2 male and 2 female) for 100 young boys and girls (equal participation) from difficult contexts and communities.
IANS is dedicating this important program to young people that were either in conflict with law, victims of crime or first-time offenders (in need for reintegration opportunity).
Memorandum of Understanding with the National CVE Centre and Municipality of Durres are finalized for their contribution and access to categories of young returnees from conflict zones to get them involved through sport activities.
The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony and certificates being awarded to the young players with 3 guests’ speakers in attendance during the Graduation Ceremony organized in the City Stadium. IANS has preliminary negotiated this program with Tirana’s main football team “Sport Klub Tirana”; and the Shkodra’s main football team “Vllaznia”.
Additionally, children participants invite their parents, teachers, siblings and relatives, local government authorities, police and media.
During the ceremony, a professional photographer film maker will make sure the ceremony is registered and documented to be launched online through Re.Net.Platform.
